About Peter Jabin, M.Div., LMHC

PictureMeet Peter Jabin, M.Div., LMHC at office located in First Hill, Seattle.
Hello. I'm Peter.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a trained pastoral psychotherapist.

Path of Pastoral Psychotherapy
Post-graduate studies in Pastoral Psychotherapy at The Center for Religion and Psychotherapy of Chicago (1994-1996).

Master of Divinity Degree from The Divinity School at The University of Chicago (1990-1993) and a Bachelors Degree in Religious Studies from Albion College in Albion, MI (1987).

I am a Diaconal Minister in the Pacific Northwest Conference of the United Methodist Church, and a member of the NW Alliance for Psychoanalytic Studies.

Clinical experience
I have more than ten years of clinical experience as a psychotherapist, between my private practice and community mental health in HIV/AIDS services in Chicago in the mid-1990’s.

After many years’ service in nonprofit administration and development here in Seattle, I have returned to my first passion, the practice of therapy and the art of healing relationship.

How all this affects you
You benefit from my passion and training for integrating psychology and spirituality.

Your religious and spiritual experience is welcomed as part of our work.

I am open to many ways of understanding this level of experience and I have no expectation that clients hold any particular faith perspective or, for that matter, any whatsoever.
